Beater blade for N50?

Hey all,

Anyone using one of those silicone-edged beater blades in an N50? If so, can you share which one you're using and if you like it? I don't know if the common 5-qt. blade for the tilt-head Kitchen Aid would work.

Thanks in advance!

They were great on the phone when I had trouble with a large hobart.

i happened to have one of these lying around (from a disastrous KA purchase)

its a little shy of 2" short. its also binding up against the side of the K50 bowl even at the top. so - no.

i'm going to try trimming the silicone a bit and making an extension for the shaft, but

i made an extension, which still needs a little adjustment. but the fit is not great. the point of the beater doesn't fall into the well at the bottom of the bowl properly, the upper edge needs to be cut off, and the bulk of the silicone doesn't make contact with the bowl because of a different curvature.

i think we'll have to wait until someone makes a variant specifically shaped for the N50

NewMetro Design makes the Beaterblade with the built in rubber blades for the KitchenAid 5 QT bowl lift mixer and the Hobart A200 20 QT mixer but NOT for the Hobart N50.  The KitchenAid 5 QT beater is 1/2" too short.  I am not aware of any aftermarket N50 agitators other than the Superdoughhook company in the Netherlands making stainless and aluminum spiral dough hooks under the part numbers JP10A and JP10.
