n50 repair

Hello, I'm very new here and I picked up a hobart n50 mixer that needs work. It seems to bind up in the gears at times. I was told it had a dead spot on the motor but don't think that is the case. And help on repairing the old girl and parts locating would be greatly appreciated. Would anyone also have a service manual? Thank you, john

This , and a very basic set of hand tools is everything you need:

Once you get it disassembled, you should find the issue pretty quick. Most likely resolved by a good deep cleaning and adjustment. I'm betting a floating bit of something up in the transmission.

I have an almost complete N-50 I'm parting out, but I won't be back home until October.
