Whole Spelt Loaf

Back in Ohio after a month in Japan; baked whole spelt loaves so we'd have something to eat, using our faithful King Arthur "New England" starter (although after a decade, I think it's more Ohio than New England).  Starter a bit slow after a month away, so not much oven spring.  But good crumb.  More photos and recipes at www.alan-ohio-bread.blogspot.com if anyone's interested--

Alan, you look a bit vegan-ish about the eyes...I enjoyed your blog, and apparently you are married to an artist, too. You make me a touch nostalgic, as I spent my youngest years in Cincinnati (not that I miss Cincinnati as such,) while my father taught at Mt St Joe's.

Cincinnati

thanks, browndog--the vegan always shows in the eyes, doesn't it?  (as does being married to dan artist, I suspect)

Cincinnati seems a nice city--some great restaurants!  Don't get down there as often as we once did.
