Christmas tree with gingerbread cookies

Happy Merry Christmas to everybody! and thank you so much, Robyn (RobynNZ)!  She is the one of  TFL members who taught me the great Christmas tree recipe that she found, and more than that, she is  the one who encouraged me to join with TFL. I was very nervous to write about my bread in English. I can't thank her enough as I see that she has been helping everybody here beside me.

You can see the detail from here.

I hope that everybody will have very nice Christmas and a Happy New Year,

Akiko

Akiko,

This is stunning!  What an accomplishment....I have been baking sweets this season too and I know how much work goes into something like this.  Each cookie is so perfect....and then to top each with the frosting - what a steady hand you have.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Take Care,

Janet

Hi Janet,

It has been long time no see!  Although I  read your posts and comments for somebody sometimes, which made me smile.   You are such a kind person as always.

I wish you and your family have wonderful Christmas and  Happy Holidays!

Akiko,

Yes, I am still here but don't do photos.....my skill with the computer and camera connections is just too frustrating for me so I leave that to others:-).

I have seen you a few times but no recipes so I figured you were busy with your family and just no time for baking and posting....nice to know you are still at it.

Take Care,

Janet

 Janet,

I am sorry about your frustration for loading up your pictures. I remember that you have tried to load your bread pictures...

I use " Paint" program  and hit " File" that is on the top of the screen  and select " Open with..."  then look for my pictures where are kept in my computer.  After I select one picture that I want to shrink, hit " Image" that is also on the top of the screen, and select " Resize and Skew" and put  8 % on the both of  " Horizontal" and " Vertical" section instead of 100% in the " Resize" and click " OK" then you can load the picture on TFL.    I used to use a free software to shrink my pictures.. but I quit using all of free software because my computer was hacked and had to clean install my computer recently.    It is more trouble for me to use " Paint" program to adjust the size for my pictures one at time, but it is safe.

I had been busy for taking care of my new comer  a White Shepherd puppy..  Oh my goodness, he was a super crazy dog.. LOL..My hands were covered by his bite marks..  I thought I couldn't keep him seriously.. but 8 month later, he gets better and better.. He doesn't bite me anymore..     Then I started to have my own blog... So That is why I have not been here to post my bread.. :)

Happy holidays to you and your family!

Akiko,

It isn't just the loading of the pictures, it is taking them too....more time and effort on top of all else I do during my days and I really am not very comfortable with electronics....makes my nervous system nervous :-)  so I stick to baking which I find relaxing and soothing.

I am glad to hear your puppy is out growing the chewing stage.  I remember it well with our two dogs but they are 8 and 10 years old now so they are very easy to live with.

Congratulations on you own blog.  I imagine that is a lot of work too.  I will have to check it out.

Take Care,

Janet

Hi Akiko,
If you make those cookies I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
I used some nice-tasting chocolate for the chocolate-walnut filling (Guittard semi-sweet 61%) - mmm mmm good

Hi  breadsong,

Guittard chocolate...  I looked up the brand using Google search..  I never seen the kind of brand chocolate before. Thank you for mentioning about that!
