Three-Tiered Braided Christmas Bread from Emeril

I've been spending most of my week-end baking since the first 'Bread from lesson 2'. It is so addictive! (but I love it).

Here is the bread I tried* on sunday night and it turned out great. The recipe is from Emeril (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/three-tiered-braided-christmas-bread-recipe/index.html).

Here is the dough before the final rise:

The bread is just taken out of the oven... this is the biggest bread I've ever seen :)

Very flavourful!

Wow! A New Easter Bread!

Forget Christmas for now.  That looks like it would go well with colorful Easter eggs and salads!

Thanks for posting the link.

Did you put the black pepper in the dough?  What do you think?

Mini

Hello Mini,

I did put the black pepper in the dough and it gave it a nice kick.

Absolutely gorgeous!

Did you make 3 batches of dough for this? How big is the loaf?

Thanks

Hello Debra,

I made 3 batches of dough and the loaf is huge (W 13"x L 18"x H 9"). Next time, I will use one portion and divide it by 3 (only a third of each tapenade, pesto..will be needed).

Thanks for the info

My goodness, that is a huge loaf! It looks like it would make about 6 pounds of dough as written. I would cut it down to 1/3 too :-)  Thank you for sharing.
