Funny how life works sometimes. I complain about not being able to get an Electrolux DLX in Canada and a round trip ticket to the good old US of A gets dropped in my lap. I'll only be in town for about 3 days, can anyone recommend a store that carries the Electrolux DLX? It's a business trip so I won't have a lot of time for shopping around.

You can't find someone that ships to Canada?!?
If not, have an e-tailer ship it to your place in TX. I got mine from Pleasant Hill Grain and they're very easy to work with. Of course you'd probably have to turn around and ship it home yourself because the box is quite large and you can't carry it onto an airplane. I wouldn't want to put it in checked luggage.

I could ship it, but if I can buy it when I'm in the US I won't have to pay for shipping or duty. It'll save me about $100 CDN (or $200 if I were to buy it from the only Canadian web site I found that carries these).

I just saw your posting while searching for Canadians who have purchased this mixer. I also live in Ontario and I am considering ordering this mixer from the U.S. I am concerned though about custom charges. A dealer in Winnipeg sells this mixer, but the price is very high.

Just called them, they are out of stock. I also made the mistake of trying to contact Electrolux in the US. I was bounced around endlessly and bounced back to the Canadian end who were even less than helpful than the American side. I think the terrible customer service alone would warrant me going with the Bosch. I was truely amazed how everyone at Electrolux seemed less interested in helping me buy one of their products and more interested in getting me off the phone and on to someone else.

I purchased mine from Pleasant Hill Farms online. I really do not place much importance on customer services. Customer service is a have-to no profit function for small to medium sales/distribution busineses.
They take orders for money as many as possible to maximize revenue. Education or special handling isn'yt their focus.
I have just arrived in Fort
I have just arrived in Fort Worth. If I can't find one I can get a family member to get one and bring it back next spring but I'd prefer to find a retail outlet here and take it back now. Are these things even available at retail brick and mortar stores?

I havent found any in Cincinnati. My only thought would be an Electrolux sales or distributor. According to their site an Electrolux Authorized Appliance Dealer.

Give it a shot. I should have looked before, as there are 2 in Cincinnati.
Sams Club, Walmart, etc have better luck beating the price down on the KA's I would guess.
Hone your research skills and I am sure you can solve your problem. Pleasant Hill Farms is in Nebraska and ship Fed Ex. I received mine in 3 days AFTER shipment.
