I picked one up a few weeks ago at an estate sale.
The cord was crunchy and I've since removed it, but the motor works!
It's "farm fresh" and I'm taking it apart to replace all of the wiring, plus cleaning it out along the way.
Popped the back off and think I need a gear puller to proceed.

Couple of quick comments. Yes you will need a gear puller. There are several types and arm geometries so do a little digging to get the best fit for the gear in question. Also, get yourself a good set of flat head screwdrivers to minimise stripping screws (to fit both slot width and length) try not to have any slop in the screwdriver fit. I have had to replace one original screw with new and it never quite fits right. Be extra careful of any gears that are fibre...so hard to replace or really expensive to get custom made. Photograph everything (or even better video) before you take it apart and keep alignment marks on moving parts so it can go back the same way. No one has released a full strip down video so you are mainly on your own but lots of comments on suitable grease. Lastly, welcome to the club, these are fantastic machines.

You can also find info via searching for C-210 which is essentially the same mixer. Eg. This TFL thread https://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/72024/hobart-c210
