My new Ankarsrum mixer was just delivered!

My new Ankarsrum stand mixer was just delivered, making three stand mixers now in my kitchen...

These include the Kitchenaid 8qt, Commercial NSF (with wire safety cage) stand mixer (it’s awesome compared to my two previous KA Artisans over the last 40 years, a Famag 8S Spiral mixer (this is a beast) and the new Ankarsrum Assistent mixer.

I’m only lacking an Italian two arm diving arm mixer to finish the equipment plan. Still looking at that, as it will probably have to be imported. My kitchen is ultra modern, so the Anky is a little bit of retro design that I’m looking forward to getting stuck in with as soon as I can get it setup. I also ordered the accessory stainless steel bowl for the light duty tasks of whipping egg whites and batters etc.

I was debating the Bosch Universal mixer as well, but the footprint was too large for the spot I wanted to place it on the counter. Also, I have stand alone professional/commercial equipment for all of the additional Bosch accessories for the Universal mixer, so that was a deciding factor.

Cheers!

I thought I was crazy with an Ank, 2 Kitchen Aids, and a Bosch Univerals!  I use the ANK for all my bread making now, and my wife uses her Kitchen Aid Pro for her cookie and cake baking, and sometimes the Bosch for her cookie baking.  I had the Bosch for bread, which I loved a lot, but it had broken, so my wife bought me the Ank for a present, and then picked up a used Bosch since we had all the accessories and extra bowls, etc.

Enjoy your new toy and don't hesitate to ask questions if you need any help.

Regards,
Ian

It seems that stand mixers are a lot like potato chips, you can’t have just one! I like being able do multiple tasks at the same time… Having multiple equipment options fills that requirement quite well!

Thanks for the offer to help…

Cheers!
