We’re looking for an experienced Head Baker to join and lead the baking team at Gatineau, a French artisan bakery and pâtisserie in Oxford, UK.
Founded in 2007 by Hervé Gatineau—a classically trained pastry chef with experience from Maison Blanc (London) to Laurent Bakery (Sydney)—we produce a wide range of high-quality breads, viennoiserie, pâtisserie, and savouries, all made using traditional methods and the finest ingredients.
🥖 The Role
We’re seeking someone who:
- Has a CAP or similar artisan qualification
- Is confident in long fermentation, sourdoughs, laminated doughs, and team leadership
- Wants to work hands-on and lead a talented team through our next phase of growth
📍 Based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire (UK)
- Salary: £40,000–£70,000 depending on experience
- Relocation and visa sponsorship available
- Full-time, permanent contract
- Start: ASAP (ideally by September)
