Bakeries (Prague, Dresden, Berlin, Hamburg)

In October my wife and I will be traveling to Prague, Dresden, Berlin, and Hamburg.  If anyone has a favorite bakery in any of these locations, please let me know.  Thanks.

They are everywhere in Germany and adjacent countries.  All are good.

If you are staying in a city, there are probably several bakeries within 1km of your hotel.

We have been to Berlin before, but the three other cities will be new for us.  On two prior trips to Germany it was clear that bread is a big thing and very well made.

For the benefit of anyone finding this thread in the archives, I am posting an answer to my own question in order to supply some details.

     Prague

Nostress Bakery (located at Vezenska 8) -- A nice coffee shop where you can purchase sandwiches and pastries in addition to bread.  My wife and I had a baguette and got a loaf of bread, which was excellent.  Also a nice atmosphere in which to sit and chat.

Artic Bakehouse (located at Myslikova 13) -- Superb.  Outstanding.  If you are in Prague and like great bread, visit this place. Purely a bread bakery, and these people know what they are doing.  We got a loaf, which had a wonderful crust and luscious crumb.  Better even than anywhere we got bread in Germany, and that is saying a lot.

     Dresden

Backerei Dreissig (a chain; we went to Hauptstrasse 5b) -- Despite being a chain, this was a fine place to get a nice loaf of bread.

     Berlin

Keit Friedrichshain (located at Grunburger Strasse 75) -- Another outstanding bread bakery.  There are two or three locations in Berlin, and we chose this one for convenience.  A nice variety of bread, and we got two loaves, both of which were very tasty.  If you are in Berlin, bypass the big chains and go to one of the Keit locations.

     Hamburg

Stadtbackerei Musfeldt (located at Schauenburgerstrasse 40) -- A smallish place with an assortment of baked goods, including pretzels and loaves of bread.  Excellent quality.  Both days that we went by, the shelves of bread were beginning to empty by mid-morning.
