Bad Joke

In the 1780s, many people in France were so poor they couldn't even afford to buy bread. A baker sold some of his old bread at an affordable price, but it was stale and dry, and incredibly hard.

You know what happened?

The poor rose up in a revolution, and the baker was hoisted with his own bâtard.
