Hi!

Hey there, I'm Vince! I run the cooking blog theflavorfulroad and I have been baking bread off and on since I was a child.  I’ve recently gotten back into bread baking in the last couple years since I started my blog and I’ve been baking some very good breads since.  In particular, I’ve been baking a lot of traditional Sicilian bread, but recently I’ve been exploring a lot of other types of bread, such as pita and Tampa-style Cuban bread, which I both enjoy and am very proud of.

I look forward to learning from all of you here, as well as sharing some of the recipes that had I’ve made these last few years.

Hello, Vince. welcome.

I'd very much like to hear about the traditional Sicilian bread you've been making, or anything else that is from Italy, especially from the south. My family heritage is there, though we didn't bake bread at home.

I trust you'll find lots of new roads in Pita and Tampa Cuban.

People on this site are wonderful: very knowledgeable, generous with their knowledge, and kind.

I rarely post.

Happy baking, Panettiera

Thanks for the warm welcome. ?

I’ll be sure to share some of my recipes once I’ve finished tweaking them.  I don’t like to put any recipes out until I feel they’re perfect.  if you’re curious to learn more about Sicilian breads, check out http://panisnostrum.blogspot.com/2011/01/pan-tradicional-en-sicilia.html For a general overview.

Thanks for the PanisNostrum link. Very interesting, and I appreciated the pix.

I'll look forward to whatever you post when it's ready to share.

Seeing that the title is Latin, and that this post covers Sicily, I was expecting to read something in Sicilian or Italian or English, and I had an instant's enjoyable disorientation to realize it was in Spanish.

good luck with your projects,

Panettiera
