“Who’s better than us, Vinny?”
Avid dessert home baker but never effed with naturally leavened bread. I usually make a good shokupan Japanese milk bread loaf for toast but between the recent shortage of instant yeast in my area and finding the very quotable Bon Appetite’s YT fermentation show “It’s Alive with Brad”- here I am. I got a successful starter and I got 20 more days of maternity leave before I get to go back to work (...at home.) A few successful first bakes, and I love finding uses for starter discard. KAF’s crumpet recipe is lit.
