Lodge Combo Cooker

No stores in Honolulu carried them, so I ordered one from Amazon. Paid hefty shipping fee. Well, there goes recent editing fee :)

I have not used mine for bread baking yet, but I do believe that it will be a great help. Rather than lowering a boule into a deep Dutch oven, I put the boule on top of a lid-like griddle. I can then lower the rest of the Dutch oven over the boule. No more worrying about centering the boule or burning my fingers on the rim of the Dutch oven.

Several other baking sites had good things to say about the combo cooker.

The combo cooker is pretty common for bread making, you'll like it! If you get much from Amazon you might think about Amazon Prime. Free shipping.
