Suggestion from new guy
You all have a great forum here!
The Handbook is a resource not usually found on hobby forums.
Being the type of person that has a lot of divers interests, I have become quite a connoisseur of hobby forums.
Because of being the consummate "new guy", I rely on the search function. Some are better than others.
I would really like to be able to do an advanced search for a subject in a particular sub-forum.

I build searches for a lot sites and, I'm the first to admit, this search isn't very good. A useful search, with facets and meaningful filtering, requires enforcement of rules about naming and metadata and where things get placed, which is very much not the case here. But it isn't too bad, here, and usually gets you close-ish. And doesn't require us yelling at people "don't post that here! It belongs over there!", which I don't intend to do.
I often use the site: capability of Google search. For example, to find posts containing the word 'sourdoughs' in the General Discussion and Recipe Exchange Forum:
