with some remarkable bakeries. I don't know of any bread clubs, but I would suggest stopping by the local artisan bakeries (is "The Laundry" still in Fenton? I have not been there in several years but there was lots of nice bread being made there) Just ask the professional bakers and you might find that some of them teach community education classes and have amateur baker friends. Once you find other bakers, if there is not an existing club, you can start one!
There was a guy just the other day starting a bread club in detroit-- http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/44711/southeast-michigan-detroit-area-bakers I think he's got a meetup.org page going for it. I'm in the Kalamazoo area...I don't know of any bread clubs...I know a number of bakers in the area that I have worked with. A network of friendly bakers if you will.
I guess I also don't know what you mean by "bread club." A group of bread bakers that all bake stuff and meet up and share their experiences and results? A group that goes and visits local bakeries?
Zingerman's in ann arbor teaches bread courses -- http://www.bakewithzing.com/classes -- I cannot attest to the quality of the courses as I have never been to one and have only been to the bakery once. So I am not the one to ask about that.
