VitaMix Dry Grains Container?
Hi All! Long time lurker, rare poster here!
I am the keeper of two sourdough starters and bake many types of breads. It's my therapy!
I am just now starting to experiment with grinding my own grains for flour. Yahoo!! So excited.
I have the dry grains container for my Vitamix. Eventually I may splurge on a "real" flour mill but I want to see how I like using my own flour first. (I am a dedicated KAF flour user and that is what I am used to.)
Do any of you use the Vitamix dry grains container for milling flour? Just curious to hear your experiences.
Thanks! Happy baking!

That would be a good place to start. I have an older Vita Mix model 3600 that came with a stainless steel container used to grind corn which is too big for the opening of my mill. It does a good job the problems being a slightly uneven grind and a lot of heat generated but those are acceptable while evaluating if you like to use fresh ground grains. The flour will not be exactly like KA but once you get used to it you won't want to go back. I still used KA as my AP flour.
