How do you name a bread after a place?

I've seen so many breads like that here, other sites and in books. Vermont sourdough, Norwich Sourdough, San Joaquin sourdough, San Francisco sourdough and many more. I want to name a bread in honor of my hometown in the future if it's possible. Thanks.

:)   Call one of your local breads after the town.  Use the inference often and post a recipe.  Good if the ingredients are from your area and the recipe and is unique. Even better if the shape is unique.

Or get an oven and a recipe and get the named bread served locally in a famous eatery.  Bake a bread that can make a name for itself?

Scout your local craft bakeries and see if there is a bread that already is named or needs a longer name.     What is the name of this town where the streets breads have no name?

as it isn't obscene like most of the names Lucy comes up with.  If it catches on, you could be famous if they remember who came up with the name rather than the name itself:-)  Famous bread is good.... except for Matzohs.....which does make great meatballs or matzoh balls.

I'm also curious about the names Lucy gives to her breads if they're "obscene" enough... Breads here have creative names; some are named after an animal, an artificial satellite even cartoon characters but there are just two breads whose names are so obscene that when I buy them, I just point them rather than speak their names. I have second thoughts in just giving the English translations of their names here, that's how offensive they are but if you would like I can share them along with the reason behind those names... :P

I'm in the "call it what you want" camp here... Although I do make a "Buckfastleigh Sourdough" (named after the town I live in!) But I also have the Sourdough Blonde (made with white flour only), my "Rustic" (same dough as the Bfl SD, but with sesame seeds on-top, go figure). I tried to call one of my rye breads; Rye rye rye Delilah, but that didn't go down well. The Hunny spelt wrong didn't work either... Ah well, some folks have no sense of humour!

(I think Ellas bakery in the next town up makes an Ashburton Sourdough - named after the town she's in)

Thanks for citing some examples, they are really helpful! I also love the names you come up with. Also, beautiful loaves!
