Baking goof of the month
Problems with my oven, and need a new computer-chip thingy for the front (broils when you hit bake), but in checking for problems, I found this "Pompeii croissant" in the back:

In fact, it seems that's working - when the broil made the oven go to more than 650F, we had the appropriate alarm/message show up on the stove's screen :)
could be the next bug thing for croissants. ;p
.... but I don't think THAT dark'll get past the focus groups.

Plan a ceremonial burial for archeologists to find in a few thousand years? Add an old cup and metal spoon, and write a poem in a jelly jar. :)
Did you see any recall notices for your oven make?
Mind you, considering my sweetie roasts veg in there all week, and I crank 'er up to 500 every weekend for an hour or so, 9.5 years of yeoman service before major maintenance is OK by me.
burnt offering deserves a burial. (I got to thinking which one of my coffee cups I'd bury on such an occasion.)
I'd keep the oven. :)
