multigrain sandwich bread - looking for a new loaf pan
Hello fellow bakers,
I often bake loaves in a traditional sandwich tin, such as this multigrain sandwich bread here, I have howver, for al these years been using a cake loaf tin. i would love to get a proper straight sided loaf tin, one that is specifically for breads. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks
Are you thinking of something like a 'pain de mie' tin? King Arthur Flour sells those in two different sizes 9" and 13".
You could also search Amazon and see what they might offer.
Thanks Slainte, i will search for "pain de mie" in amazon.
I have recently searched and searched for a tin to 'match' the three old fashioned 'Hovis' bread tins that I acquired some time ago. Most were far too shallow for bread in my opinion. I eventually found a supplier but that was in the UK - where are you based?
Yes I agree, my bread tins are all too shallow, I would love to get hold of one of those tins with tall straight sides. I live in Germany, but could try and get hold of it from england, please do share the supplier!
thanks aroma!
