Bakery in DC area - Sandwich bread
My town just got a new bakery, a welcome development. If you like sandwich bread, Spring Mill Bread Company is a good place. More details on my blog.

And had been buying their bread for several years until I began baking again. I find their bread to dense and crumbly. There is a good independent bakery on Arlington Road in Bethesda that is better than SM, but you can do better baking yourself time permitting
