Beginner %100 Whole Wheat Bread Sunken

Hi, I'm new to this forum and to using a bread machine. I've had a bit of trouble trying to make a %100 whole wheat bread. I really wanted a recipe that didn't require gluten and that was %100 whole wheat. The recipe I used is in the following link.

I've tried this recipe two times now and both times have resulted in a very small and dense loaf of bread with the top having a sunken look to it. I don't really know what to do to fix this issue? I was thinking maybe it was left rising for too long so I should try the basic cycle on my bread machine instead of the grain cycle? Or maybe try a different type of yest? I used bread machine yeast which the bottle states rises up to %50 faster? If anyone has any ideas how to get a lighter loaf that would be great! Thanks!
