No baking!
Wanted to wish all my TFL friends a happy and healthy 2015. May your bread not add a single ounce to your weight nor a single inch to your waistlines this year. Thank you all for all the advice, tips, recipes and help offered through this wonderful site.
Baking suspended here in Sth Oz at present with temp today at 45deg C (113deg F). Just too hot to contemplate turning on the oven!

Best wishes to you too for the new year! We get that hot too in the summer in our part of N. California so I sympathize!
tchism .. thanks for the NY wishes. Australia, like some parts of CA suffers extreme conditions. We have large intense wildfires burning in the hills above Adelaide at present, with 26 homes and many livestock, pets and native fauna lost to the flames. So far no lives have been lost. We experience many temps each summer above 40deg C. We will survive, we are used to it. Here's hoping the fires can be contained. More extreme heat and strong winds coming this week. So a dearth of good bread for the moment, but that is a minor problem considering the devastation we are experiencing.

summers, I got a convection mini oven a few years ago that I take outside to bake bread on the patio, by the pool, with with a margarita in hand! Somehow it seems like a reasonable thing to do till the next morning:-) It is odd that that the mini oven bakes an even better loaf of bread than the stationary Big Old Betsy does.
