Anybody add a auto-off timer to a stand mixer?

I'm looking for some way to add an auto shut off timer circuit to a Hobart N-50.
Some way to reliably set it to count-down for up to 15 minutes and be able to walk away and have it shut off.
Don't want digital or wimpy plastic cr@p. just a good dial spring wound timer, such as >this one<
Any Ideas?

Why not get one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/GE-15-Minute-In-Wall-Springwound-Countdown/dp/B007BJULZW/

Put it in an outlet box:

Add an outlet and outlet cover to the box.

Here's approximately how you'd wire it (caution lethal AC voltages & currents involved, do it at your own risk!). The "light" in the diagram is where you'd connect the outlet. The A/C connections in the diagram would be replaced with a heavy duty 3-prong power cord.

BE SURE the mixer's ground wire is connected to ground. It is very bad practice to let the mixer be ungrounded and not in compliance with NEC.

Agreed, the two grounds should be connected together.
