Ec30 Crypto Peerless

Hi, I wonder if any one can help me with a problem I'm having? I have bought an old (now obsolete) EC30 mixer and am trying to find out why it has lost 2nd gear. I have removed the Upper bearing housing and the cover for the upper bearing housing. I have also removed the Planetary,, gear shift leaver  and now have the gears exposed but I cannot get the gears out. I have removed the circlips from the two smaller gears and the nut from the largest one. Now though I'm completely stuck, can any body please tell me how to proceed?
