Back to practicing Tartine
After months of absence, I'm back to practice my bread making and tartine loaf is always in my mind. After refreshing my starter which has been in the fridge for a long while, pick up my strength to work on the dough. The texture was somehow a bit dense and a tiny winy bit chewy. Still hoping to get a good oven spring. Nevertheless my favourite by far.
I have found that the loaf improves the more time I make it, with occasional setbacks. Three steps forward, one step back.
Definitely take notes of any variations made as they are made,so that when you do get the perfect loaf, you can hopefully repeat it!
You're right about that David, hope I would be able to do just that. Thanks for the reminder thou'. Cheers !!! Nora
back to baking. Nothing like making a loaf of good bread to get back in the swing of things. That sandwich looks divine too.
Happy Back To Baking !
I am glad as well to be able to get back to making my own bread again. The sandwich is far from divine, just clearing whats left in the fridge. Thanks for those thoughts. Am catching up with the blog here reading & digesting. Cheers !!! Nora
Really nice.
Thanks Floydm for the compliment, Wish I cud say the same about the texture thou'. Working to improve on it. Cheers !!! Nora
Hi Nora.
This looks like a total success at the Tartine loaf. A favourite of mine.
Happy baking.
John
Hi John, thanks for the compliment, however they cannot compare to your gorgeous loaves. I am still practicing hoping to get a good oven spring and achieve a softer and lighter crumb with this Tartine loaf, I simply luv this bread too. Cheers !!! Nora
