My first boule!
This is the Ken Forkish recipe for Saturday bread. I was very intimidated by a boule, but I went for it. They are so gorgeous. I halved the recipe since I do not yet have the 12 qt Cambro. The recipe came out fine And the family loved it!

Hi Casey
i can see nothing wrong with that loaf at all, you will of course soon be stopping the family from devouring the loaf before you take a crumb shot of the inside for us all to see too. Very well done for your first attempt at a boule and nicely baked out too lots of colour to the crust. Not suprised the family loved it, i do too
kind regards Yozza/Derek
Thank you for the encouraging words. I find bread baking enthralling. I took a picture of my crumb. However, I do not know how to upload the second picture well. I will work on that upload tomorrow! I hope this week to try a bigs or poolish. Thank you for the support!
Warm regards,
Casey
Nothing hard about that and the end result is very good ans I bet is even more tasty than it looks. Well done!
This was so gratifying! I thought it was even better than the baguettes! we lives in Tucson for awhile. The heat would make baking a challenge.
