I won't be posting

I won't be posting for a while, the Sainted Wife and I are moving to a different part of Kalifornistan. I fear I will lose my starter in the move, this too will pass. Patients and Calmness are the order of these days to come, moving is never fun.

Cheers all,

Wingnut

Good Luck!

Do you know about drying out your starter?  WOrks like a charm and then you just put it in an envelope and revive when you are settled in.

If you are interested it is easy to do.  Just smear some onto parchment paper - a thin layer that will dry easily.  Allow it to dry for several days then break it into small pieces and store for later use.  Remember - this stuff has survived for thousands of years all over the world.  Your stuff is a least as hardy as it's ancestors :)

Take Care,

Janet

I'm also in the midst of the second cross-country move in two years, so I'm with you all the way. Best of luck to you, your wife and your starter.

We are moved in! We are amoung a sea of boxes as well. Starter seems to have made it dispite living in a cooler chest for almost a week!!!! It was sandwiched (no pun intended) between two blocks of ice. Fed it this morning and it is bubbling away right now!

Thanks for all the kind words.

Cheers,

Wingnut
