Back to Basics
Just thought with all my experimenting I would make a basic Sourdough loaf just so I would not forget what brought me down this road.

I noticed the beautiful loaf too :-). Lovely color.
Spring is here. Snow one day. Sunny and warm the next. 3 ducks in our front yard this morning which is very early for them to show up. They don't usually appear around here until Mayish. Wonder if it means that we are in for a very early summer.....They wouldn't tell me. Just waddled off when my daughter went out the front door.

Great oven spring, lovely grignette and a beautiful golden crust. Loaves as good as this never fails to put a smile on my face so, thank you. :)

Basic are always the BEST .....you can realy FEEL the SOUL of the flour...........great oven spring

That crumb looks really soft! Crusty exterior and a soft crumb..yum!
