Bravetti Hand Mixer EP545
Over the 4th a friend gave me this Hand Mixer with Dough Hooks only. My plan is to use this for kneading dough. A stand mixer is not in the budget at this time. Searching the internet, the only info I can find is that the beaters break and ordering replacements is necessary. Is this in fact suitable for kneading dough. It has a 300 watt motor with Turbo, however I'm not sure if that is as impressive as it sounds. Some comments Please.
Thank You
Jim
kneading dough. Right now it is beating a very wet dough 85-90% hydration for 45 minutes. (10 min left) It came with a cheap stand that serves it well. I beat a batter yesterday for 45 minutes also. It is not overheating. Seriously I prefer to hand knead when it doesn't take longer than 5 minutes.
Good News. Thanks for the comment. I'll forge ahead with my hand mixer and the extended kneading.
it's not a bravetti (the name makes me chuckle) I have an Elin. But my watts are much lower. You can tell when the motor sounds like it's struggling and gets hot, just stop for a while and let it cool down.
