KA's Baking Sheet newsletter features TFL!
King Arthur Flour puts out a quarterly baking newsletter named "The Baking Sheet." (It's a subscription thing, not a freebie.) The spring 2012 issue, which just arrived, has a recipe for sourdough potato bread (looks interesting), with a two-thirds-page sidebar featuring The Fresh Loaf and especially JMonkey's tips for "more sour-tasting" sourdough starter. It notes the specific URL for JMonkey's post, with quite complimentary comments. Congrats to Floyd and JMonkey!
Nice!

Recipe for the Sourdough Potato Bread:
JMonkey's lesson on squeezing more sour from sourdough:
That's not the actual recipe from The Baking Sheet. That one differs from the KAF recipe, which I could not find available online. The Baking Sheet recipe is enriched with milk and a bit of sugar and uses no WW flour. The author says it was adapted from a book titled "Prairie Home Breads."
The recipe for is not a TFL recipe, but JMonkey's sour lesson is.
As usual, I was reading at 2x and understanding 1/2x.
Well I'll be darned! I'll have to pick up a copy somehow. Thanks!
JMonkey,
Just call KAF. I'm sure they will send you a free copy. If I were them, I'd give you a free subscription -- you gave them nearly a page of content. I'm sort of surprised KAF didn't ask your permission to use the info.
