New from Salem Oregon
I was researching a grain mill purchase and ran across this site. I plan on purchasing a used Marathon stone mill today and start producing my own flour. I bought a Blendtec blender a couple years and used it to make flour once and loved the flavor of the bread. I'm pretty new to the bread making and have recently been only making the no-knead varieties - easier to do when you've got two little girls running around the house.
I'm looking forward to trying all sorts of various flours in my bread recipes and also looking to use the flour in batters as well (pankcakes and waffles). I don't even know where to start looking for a recipe on this site. It's information overload! I'll just start with a basic whole wheat recipe and go from there. My wife and kids love the Great Harvest breads so I'm hoping to be able to mimic some of their recipes.
Hopefully as I get more experienced I'll actually have something to contribute rather than just being a leech!
Welcome to the forum. I look forward to reading your posts.

Whole Grain Cookbook. That will give you lots of opportunities to use your flours in a lot of different foods.
