Love your cottage! You included so many details in forming the dough and the finished creation really came out so beautifully and kept its shape. (Did you use a standard white bread dough?) And your decorative loaf baked in the earthen ware dish in your earlier post is exquisite. I would love to see your other creations, too!
We were lucky to take wonderful vacation in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Austria this summer so I am particularly interested in yeast bread baking traditions for the season of Advent so popular in Europe (but when I search here on FL I haven't been able to find many examples other than stollens and pannetones which are so delicious too.) So thank you for posting.
Today, December 5, is St. Nicholas Eve and I am just now getting ready to bake a bread in the shape of St. Nicholas (Sinterclass?). I have a German cookbook that gives directions and I found some other examples on the St. Nicholas Center website. If anyone else is interested, here is the link: http://www.stnicholascenter.org/pages/breads/#i_535 . Next week is the feast of Santa Lucia and I understand there is a particular shaped bread for that day as well.
I would like to learn more about holiday yeast baking in special shapes like wreaths, decorated loaves, 'krampas (?) shapes, etc. and so would love to see more examples from your repetoire!

Nem csak szép, de nagyon finom is!
Több napig puha marad ez a tészta.
Köszönöm,hogy itt járt!
Üdvözlettel! Terike

Terike

Happy Advent to you too!
Köszönöm a kedves szavakat!
Köszönöm a linket, mindjárt megnézem.
Szeretettel! Terike
