Hello everybody! New member here!
Good morning everyone! I just signed up on this site. My name is Chris, I'm a male ICU nurse working full time here in Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission Texas. But besides the full time work that I do, my wife and I have been providing exclusive Filipino bread to close associates, fellow medical staff, friends and family since last year.
Just recently we have tied up with a Filipino restaurant that is also an Filipino Asian store and have plans to provide our bread on their display as well. Our bread will be part of their restaurant sales and would not be part of the grocery aspect of their store.
I know there are several legal issues, permits, requirements, etc with regards to selling bread but I hope you guys can help chime in or provide an literature/links that can help my wife and I with this matter.
Thank you so much!
Greetings and welcome to TFL. Texas will have a cottage law beginning Sept 1. However, there are restrictions so you may need to find a commercial kitchen for production. Here's an article from a Houston newspaper to start your research.
Texas Cottage Food Bill Signed Into LawThanks for that link! I'll look into it.
