Minneapolis Bread Festival, April 14
Hope all of you within shouting distance of Minneapolis/St. Paul (Minnesota) will try to make it to a new bread festival in the Twin Cities. Created for those who love to bake great bread, this is the brainchild of a local, professional artisan baker, Lorenzo - aka the Italian Breadman. The event will be held at the Mill City Museum (www.millcitymuseum.org) and run from 11am to 2 pm. The festival will include demonstrations by local amateur and professional bakers, bread tasting, opportunity to mingle and ask questions, a kids' corner, bread-inspired fashion, and more. Some of of the demonstrations lined up so far include potica, stollen, challah and Mardi Gras King Cake. More to come. You can get details at www.lorenzosbreadcircus.org.
If anyone is interested, I'll post updates as I learn about additional demonstrations and bakeries participating.
