Armenian "Barbary" Flatbread a la Nick Malgieri
Recently, I baked Armenian "Barbary" Flatbread from The Modern Baker. It's the first recipe in the Breads section of the book, which the Modern Baker Challenge group is just beginning to undertake.

Is balck sesame the same as Nigella seeds?
The bread looks wonderful, just like the ones I used to get from the Turkish bakery:)
Nigella seeds are not black sesame, they have sharp irregular points and are also known as Charnushka seeds, used in Russian breads and Indian cuisine. You can find them at penzeys spices.
