OTG quiry

I am from India. I have a Morphy Richard 40 litre OTG. In that there is a

"spice tray". I donot know why they provide this. In the manual also

there is no explanation except how to remove & fix back the tray.

From the name I persume  that I can keep some spice in that to give

flavour to baked stuff. I may not be correct. Can any one help me to

use this tray & what spice has to be kept for what item.

I have no idea actually but my guess would be that as these ovens appear to be popular in India (there have been other posters mention them) Morphy Richards have come up with a function specific to the market. When I make Indian dishes I heat the spices in a very small pot, which I keep for this purpose alone,  using an element on top of my stove, before grinding them. Perhaps this is the purpose...?

If it were me I'd telephone/email the maker and ask them directly.

I'll be very interested to learn what the use really is.

Regards, Robyn

Are you certain that what you're describing as a "sice grill" isn't a crumb tray?  Oven/Toaster/Grills usually do have a removable crumb tray for ease of cleaning.

I Googled the spice holder and found the following:

OTG 40 RC-SS
40 Litre capacity
2000 watts
0-90 mins bypass timer
Stainless Steel outer body
Long motorized rotisserie 47.5 cms
Stylish Chrome finish knobs
Convection Function
Keep warm function
Illuminated Chamber
Spice holder: emanates aroma of the spice filled in it.
Mirror finish door
Attachments:
Wire rack
Baking Tray
Crumb Tray
Spice Holder
Rotisserie rod set (1)
Rotisserie tong (1)
Tong (1)

It appears that you can add spices to the holder and when you use the oven, the warmed spices will add aroma to your kitchen.
