yes. my local albertson's has all of the KA flours in both sizes. that's why I like it.
small tip, don't get your yeast there. you can get it for half the price at walmart.

I order all my yeast from KA in the larger pack and keep it in the freezer. It last me until the next free shipping offer. It's always so fresh. I have never had a problem and they have a nice assortment of different yeast.

I usually buy my yeast at Costco and get 2 one pound bags for less than $4!! I keep the open one I am using, well closed in a zip lock bag in the fridge. The other one is vacuum sealed, so I keep it that way until I need it!! I have had it work well past it's expiration date though! Seems I never use it all up before it expires!
I am really interested in using some Fresh yeast, but have no idea where I can get it in the Boca Raton/Ft.Lauderdale area. Any ideas??
THANKS!!!
Jann
You can try a health food store or a specialty grocery store like Wild Oats, Trader Joes.. I'm not sure what you have in Boca Raton. Your local chains like Publix, probably do not carry it.

I didn't realize there were still Albertson's stores around, they shut the two in our area down in the last year. Central California
Down here in LA/OC CA, there are still tons of Albertsons. When they downsized, they did close a few 'under performing' stores, but kept the bulk of them. The one closest to me (about two blocks) has just posted an architect's rendering of a complete remodel for the store. I think they intend to stay awhile! ; )

Does anyone know where I can buy unbleached bread flour in the Phoenix area. I can only find 5lb bags. Mostly a dollar a pound. and KA is pricey. although I haven't tried it. I guess I'm spoiled with canadian hard wheat. Thanks for any help

If you're not committed to using organic flour, you'll find that General Mills "Better for Bread" should be only $0.10 more than the GM AP flour. The Better for Bread is unbleached and not a terrible flour.Try a WalMart superstore or ask the manager of a large supermarket to order some if it isn't stocked on the shelves. Now, a few stores will ask you to buy the case but the B4B flour is around $2.65 for a 5# bag just outside of KC so it can't be unreasonably priced in Phoenix. You might have to buy a 30# quantity.
WalMart stocks KAF in some of their stores so if it isn't on the shelf, talk the manager. WalMart also carries WheatMontana flours in some of their stores which means it's in some of their warehouses . It can't hurt to ask the people with authority in WalMart stores or any supermarket for that matter. If that doesn't work, ask for the phone number and name of the person at the next level up.
