I enjoyed preparing this recipe very much. It's easy to complete in a single day, I believe it would rise even if you stacked bricks on top of it, the oven spring is generous but not excessive, the compliments are countless.

I love to make Challah Bread. Besides the richness in flavor, it can add a festive look to your table, especially with the more complex braids like the 6-strand braid. Here's a video of how to do it. Well, Dave, I prefer to slice it with a good bread knife. It does, however, lend itself to pulling apart for a rustic country meal so don't be shy about doing your own thing.
