Santa came early!

It's a Brod & Taylor lightweight sheeter that my wife bought for me.  Due to various commitments, like our oldest grandson graduating from Missouri State next week, it will probably be three weeks or more before I get to play with it.  That may be a temporary reprieve for my waistline but I’m concerned about the long-term risks.

I’m jealous 😆.  I look forward to seeing and hearing what you think.  I’ve been wanting to start making some laminated doughs but I’m worried I will need to buy a new wardrobe 😂.

Happy Holidays!

I'm painfully aware of the truth in the saying that you can't outrun your fork.  Croissants may turn into the new zucchini in my neighborhood; as in, after a certain point everyone runs for cover when they see you coming with an armload.

The sheeter is very easy to set up.  You just pop in the front and rear supports, slide in the moving work surface, snap in the handle, and it's good to go.  How it actually performs with dough is something that I'll just have to wait to see when we get back from our trip.

It didn't hurt that I gave my wife a new espresso grinder to further her coffee addiction.  Now we each have a new toy to play with.

Wow! What a beauty. I didn't know about these until I read your post. Lots of uses.

Cheers,

Today's bake, though, is Swedish cardamom bread.  The wait continues...

Congratulations on your new toy.  I’d love to have one of those but our kitchen just isn’t large enough to have any more toys.  The rule of the house is if one new item comes in, something old must go out.  I suspect that something old would be me if I bough another kitchen item.

Merry Christmas Paul.

I hear you.  My wife had the audacity to suggest that we should enlarge our pantry, recently.  Nope.  Not happening.  We definitely need to implement your rule here.

Merry Christmas!
