Hi! I'm Erik from Sourhouse
Hi bakers,
My name is Erik. I am a sourdough homebaker, a stay-at-home dad, and one of the co-founders of Sourhouse.
I used the Fresh Loaf lessons to make my first loaf of bread years ago (it was a frisbee) so I though I should jump back in now as I am again at the beginner phase of making my first product for sourdough bakers.
For the last 2 years, we have been working on an idea to help sourdough bakers keep their starters warm and active.
We call what we made Goldie by Sourhouse.
We finally announced it a couple weeks ago are in a state of nervous excitement.
I was on the Sourdough Mama's Podcast [1] recently to talk about the project. I wonder if you can here the excitement and fear in my voice.
If you would like to get notified when we launch and learn more, you can sign up at: https://sourhouse.co/goldie [2]
If any of you decide to try out a Goldie, I wanted to be around to get your feedback and hear about your experiences.
When I am not working on Sourhouse stuff, I usually have a tub of sourdough going. I like to make flatbreads, pan loaves whatever. I don't want to be a professional baker and have too many kids to be a perfectionist. So I am in search of the good enough loaf.
