Hobart A200 "walks" when running
Good day to all.
My Hobart A200 stand mixer has been very useful to me these past 10 years. The one issue that I have with it is that it tends to "walk" the stand that it sits on top of. I have a short SS table that is about 24" high, by 24" square. I have the Hobart feet resting on thin black grips to prevent it from moving around on the tabletop. I also have cinder blocks placed on the bottom shelf of the table to try to lower the center of gravity. The table legs also have rubber boots on the feet to try to prevent it from walking. The table and mixer seem to stay put while it is in first gear, but when I have a larger amount of dough and try to knead it on 2nd gear, it tends to walk around and starts to bump into the walls next to it.
My thought is to buy thicker anti-vibration pads to place under the mixer, but I am not sure if this will cure the movement. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Thanks!
