Doc Jim's post about ancient Greek recipes [1] got me thinking.  Does anyone have old bread recipes from grandparents, great-grandparents, etc.?  Do you use them?  I have one for "brown bread" from about 100 years ago that I'm fond of.  I wouldn't call it "artisan", but it makes a good basic WW loaf (the original recipe made 8 loaves, which I'm guessing was imperative when you lived on the the prairie).
