Usually the pictures I take look pretty bad, but these came out ok. I got the recipe from King Arthur Flour http://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/shortcut-russenzopf-recipe [1]. I used the brioche recipe from Rose Levy Beranbaum's The Bread Bible, the ultimate full flavor variation. I think I would like to try to make babka for Easter with dried apricots, dried sour cherries, and some cinnamon with this method. I grew up with the dried fruit kind of babka, not the chocolate kind that everyone makes now.
