What can I do with my new starter?
I have ordered a starter from a well known supplier of several varieties. This one is the Austrian variety. I am not going to be able to buy the recommended cookbook containing recipes specific for this starter. I can't imagine why one would need to buy and read a whole book before using this starter! I have made sourdough before using many different methods. Some worked and some didn't. I assume that this starter will work with european rye and mixed grain recipes, which is what I intend to make with it. Do any of you have a recipe or suggestions for using this type of starter? It would be much appreciated!
