Wheat Montana Fail
Last year I ordered several 50# bags of organic hard white wheat berries from Azure Standard. At the same time I got pregnant with #6, so my bread making was sporadic, but my bread wasn't good. Not good elasticity, poor rise. I thought it was me and I was too sick to focus on it. Munchkin is now 4 months and I've been makinb bread daily. bad bread. It finally occurred to me that maybe it was the new wheat, so I borrowed some wheat from a friend and my bread was beautiful again. It was my first time with that brand, but I thought it was supposed to be the best! Any ideas what happened?
