In Love With My Bosch Universal Plus!
My daughter, the lawyer, and her fiance, the brilliant MBA candidate, bought me a Bosch Universal Plus for my birthday. Today, I put it to good use making Bernard Clayton's Marbled Bread - a tri-colored (and flavored) bread. Previously, I relied upon my KitchenAid Pro 6 to make everything. Resting my hand on top of the motor housing, I would pray that it would live through the bread-making process. It has survived. Barely. Now, I am a lover of baking. Cakes, cookies, you name it. I, like all of you, love making bread. It has been a passion as well as therapy. Last year, while participating in the testing for The New York Bakers Jewish Bakery Book, I lost both of my parents within five weeks of each other. And so began the therapy. I began making bread every day. Never less than two loaves. As you can see, when I say my KitchenAid has "survived" it truely has. BUT, all that being said, the Bosch Universal Plus is a dream. Quiet, powerful, easy to use and to clean. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering their next "bread" machine.
