I was baking for my sister's christmas work party (yeah, she comes to me whenever she wants bread) and just for the fun of it, I spread an egg yolk out on a plate and made handprints on two of the loaves (one wheat and one rye, the wheat turned out a bit better).  It was fun for the novelty, and lead to plenty of "hand made bread" jokes.
