Just found the activation choices under "My Account". Thought it was automatically done.
didn't start them for me
I thought the same, but enabling the settings still hasn't fixed it.

No sooner!
No sooner do I get the above typed than 2 notices show up in my inbox. I think all is now well in the notification dept. for me. I hope it is for you as well.
