Hello from Launceston, Tasmania, Australia

Hello Everybody,

I'm new........

My name is Tracey, I love to bake in general, but bread and yeasty things especially.  My favourites at the moment are brioche and challah.

Found this web-site today - cannot begin to tell you how wonderful it is, thank you - I'm in heaven!

Looking forward to reading about what everyone is baking!

Bye for now

Tracey

Hi, Tracy.

Welcome to TFL!

We're interested in reading about what you are baking, too. As you can probably tell, we like pictures.

Here's a handshake from "over the ditch" !. Was in Lauceston a couple of years ago and also had a quick spin around Tazzy as well. We intend to come back to visit all the places we had to miss.

One of my favourite recipes on TFL is the blueberry braid. It is great. Am making English muffins to-morrow for our Eggs Benedict (recipe here also great) as I have a cafe and loathe the commercial version that is available.

i'm sure you'll enjoy being part of this friendly and enthusiastic group of bakers. Regards, Margaret; Barrytown, S.I West Coast, NZ

Just joking, Tracey ... BUT ....

I would love to see photos and your recipe for the babka you make this weekend. I have never made a babka but would like to. There seem to be two very different types of recipes - One for a batter and the other for a dough. Any light to shed on this?
